The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss is one of the most exclusive and radically designed supercars of the 21st century. Launched in 2009 as a final celebration of the collaboration between Mercedes-Benz and McLaren, this limited-edition speedster pays direct homage to Sir Stirling Moss and his legendary 1955 Mille Miglia victory in the iconic 300 SLR. Production was strictly capped at just 75 units globally, and the vehicle was offered exclusively to existing SLR owners, cementing its status as an elite collector's piece.

In terms of design and bodywork, the Stirling Moss edition completely dispenses with both the roof and the windscreen, replacing them with two small wind deflectors to create a pure, open-air driving experience. The entire body is crafted from lightweight carbon fibre, featuring dramatic side-pipe exhausts, an aggressive rear diffuser, and a striking front fascia that echoes the classic 1950s racing silver arrows. When parked, the cockpit can be fully enclosed using two carbon fibre tonneau covers that store neatly in the boot.

Beneath the sculpted bonnet lies a hand-built, AMG-sourced 5.5-litre supercharged V8 engine. This powerhouse sends an astonishing 650 bhp and 820 Nm of torque directly to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission. Because it weighs approximately 200 kg less than the standard SLR coupe, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in a mere 3.5 seconds and can achieve a phenomenal top speed of 217 mph.

The interior is a minimalist blend of track-focused engineering and premium luxury. It features bespoke carbon fibre bucket seats trimmed in a combination of fine leather and Alcantara, an aluminum instrument cluster, and an engraved plaque bearing Sir Stirling Moss’s signature. This example represents an exceptionally rare opportunity to acquire a pinnacle piece of automotive history that bridges the gap between classic motorsport heritage and modern supercar performance.
