The L663-era Defender is available in three body styles, marketed as the three-door Defender 90, the five-door Defender 110 and the extended three-row Defender 130. The car has permanent all-wheel drive, locking differentials in the centre and rear, and a two-speed transfer case. Unlike previous Defenders, the new model has an aluminium unibody instead of a body-on-frame construction. It can support a 10,000-lb front-mounted winch, which is unusual for a unibody car. All Defender 110 variants come with air suspension as standard, whilst the 90 can be optioned with coil springs or air suspension. Defender 90 models with coil spring suspension have a ground clearance of 8.9 inches, whilst the 110 and the 90 with air suspension have a maximum ground clearance of 11.5 inches. This example is the last of just 65 cars converted to ‘Urban XRS’ specification by Urban Automotive. Fitted with the Urban XRS package, it now features a wide-track 10-piece wheel arch kit, 23-inch Vossen UV-X forged alloy wheels, an XRS performance exhaust and a raft of lightweight carbon fibre exterior components, including the bonnet, upper grille, upper spoiler and door mirror caps. Inside, the bespoke interior is equipped with Recaro bucket seats, a flat-bottom black leather and carbon fibre-trimmed sport steering wheel with XRS branding, a unique numbered dash plaque and extended carbon fibre trim. Under the bonnet sits a supercharged 5.0-litre V8, delivering 518bhp to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift.
