2023 Porsche 911 (992) GT3 Manthey Racing
Key points: Manthey Racing Performance Kit, PCCB, Carbon Bucket Seats, Roll cage
Porsche revealed the 992-generation GT3 in February 2021 with the same engine as its predecessor, a 4.0-litre flat-six which revs to 9,000rpm, updated to produce 503hp and 347lb-ft of torque. The 992 GT3 is capable of reaching 62mph from a standstill in 3.4 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 199mph.
It features new unequal-length control-arm front suspension influenced by the 991 RSR, as well as a wider body, a carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) bonnet, lightweight glass windows, a sports exhaust system, a large vented rear wing, a bigger diffuser and lightweight bucket seats.
The cockpit is equipped with a track screen for the first time: at the push of a button, the digital displays on the left and right of the central tachometer are reduced to the essential information on tyre and oil pressure, oil and coolant temperature and fuel level. The 911 GT3 has an easily accessible mode switch on the steering wheel, which facilitates swaps between ‘Normal’ settings and the customisable ‘Sport’ and ‘Track’ modes.
Equipped with the Manthey Racing performance kit, this example features an enlarged rear wing, aero disc-style wheels, carbon-fibre aerodynamic elements and a lower ride height on its revised four-way adjustable coilover suspension.
